Instances

How can I migrate my data to another instance?

You can’t move information between different Instances. However, you can create a snapshot of one Instance and then use it to create another Instance. As a result, all the information contained in the snapshot will be moved to the new Instance. You can use the same process to downgrade the size of your Instance to a smaller plan.

Can I make my Instance smaller?

No, Instances cannot be resized to a smaller plan. This is because an Instance may contain more data on its hard disk than the new, smaller Instance’s hard disk size would allow, making it impossible to transfer data to the smaller hard disk without risk of data loss or corruption.

Hostereo Instances reside in data centers in Amsterdam, Tel-Aviv, and New York.
